Graduate Training Schemes

We design and deliver graduate training schemes for new entrants to the computing industry. As an example, our five week COBOL course includes:

• Introduction to IT and mainframe concepts
• Structured program design
• TSO and ISPF with SDSF (or equivalent e.g. IOF, SYSVIEW)
• COBOL
• Source control (e.g. LIBRARIAN, Endevor)
• Testing and debugging (e.g. Xpediter)
• DB2 and SQL
• JCL
• Practical exercises with case studies
• Application of installation standards
  

Other options include CICS and IMS; in-house databases and TP monitors can also be included.

We have similar schemes for:

• Assembler on mainframe
• PL/1 on mainframe
• INGRES with UNIX
